IX INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM

The Agency in compliance with the agreement with the City Hall of Gdynia realised all the concepts and organisational aspects of this year’s edition of International Economic Forum in Gdynia. Forum is the biggest event of this type in Northern Poland, strongly settled in the specific Pomeranian economy. The most essential conference of the forum is “Maritime Economy”, strongly connected with worldwide economy issues. Gdynia is a city designed as a Polish “window to the world”, modern trade and passenger port and at the same time a place which draws dynamic people from different parts of Poland.

From one edition to another ”Tourism” panel gains a strong position, widely discussing the issues of innovations in tourism, research and analysis of economic trends, place’s marketing as well as creating and introducing strong brands and territorial products.

Every year, the Forum brings up and develops new ideas essential for the economic development of the city, the region and the Baltic Sea water area. This year the Agency will initiate for the first time the subject of “Urban Space”, bringing up issues important not only for municipal economy, tourism and building industry, but also for the town-dwellers’ quality of life.

Gdynia Development Agency – composes, together with the city council, the promotion and PR concept of the Forum, coordinates and supports the panel leaders’ activity, fully taking the responsibility for the substantive realisation of the “Tourism” panel.
